St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul’s Cathedral is iconic, sitting on the highest point in the City of London, it has endured for over 1,400 years.

81 Newgate Street sits directly north of St Paul’s with the new roof terrace offering unobstructed views of the historic dome.

The existing building currently breaches the City of London Corporation’s policy on “St Paul’s Heights” and therefore restricts local views of the Cathedral.

Our proposals would respect and improve the setting of St Paul’s by:

  • Removing significant existing breaches of St.Paul’s heights and vastly improving views from King Edward Street
  • Ensuring that there are no new breaches or exceedances of existing breaches of “St Paul’s Heights” as a result of the transformation
