Orion Capital Managers, the new owners of 81 Newgate Street (The BT Centre), and Pella Real Estate Partners are bringing forward proposals to transform the existing building into a dynamic mixed used development bringing together office, retail, culture and leisure.

The proposals will transform the current building into a world class addition to the City streetscape, with a diverse and exciting offer reflecting the City of London Corporation's 24/7 vision for the City and acting as a gateway to the Culture Mile.

The planning application was granted unanimous consent by the Planning and Transportation Committee at the City of London Corporation on 23rd June 2020.

The transformation will see a significant increase in GIA from 515,648ft² to 810,306ft² and will include modern and updated office space, quality leisure and wellbeing uses including a swimming pool and gym facilities, experiential ground floor retail and a free publicly accessible roof terrace with stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the City.
